Visual basic tutorial youtube10/28/2022 ![]() ![]() Visual Basic net code (the rest is just the other 6 scroll bars, so it’s basically the same so I didn’t include the end part). read the potentiometer on potPin(0), convert it to 0 - 255: ![]() if it's really the startbyte (255) //changed to space wait for serial input (min 3 bytes in buffer) I’ve skipped over the beginning part of the code since it’s the same as what you can find in the digi-pot tutorial void loop() The others only control the LED brightness. Only the first scroll bar will control the fan speed. The Arduino code is mostly the as what was in the tutorials however, I added the data packet structure found at principialabs (255 didn’t work for me at first as a start byte since I forgot to include the VB code line so I arbitrarily chose “32”). Sinve VB.net Express is free from Microsoft I decided to use that to control everything (though it’s a huge download). I describe here a mini project where I modified the “Controlling a Digital Potentiometer Using SPI” and combined it with controlling a high-current DC motor (though I’m just using a low current computer fan for now…). I looked through the various tutorials on the ITP site and, which were very helpful. My goal is to hack my table tennis robot and have it controlled by my PC however, before I can get to that stage I needed to learn more about the interfacing the Arduino. #Visual basic tutorial youtube how to#I’ve searched this forum and found bits and pieces of information on how to control an Arduino using a VB.net app on my Windows PC but didn’t see exactly what I wanted. ![]() Hi, I’m new to the Arduino (I just purchased one last week). ![]()
